Question
Since I am the only girl on my indoor soccer team, how do I get the respect from my teammates
How do I get the boys to pass me the ball? How do I get their trust on my dribbling or passing skills? Or even my shooting skills? Only 1 person passes me the ball and I could get a lot of shots of if the other 10 boys start passing me the ball!

It takes time to build trust with anyone but keep showing your skills when you do get the chance. Once they see your ability when that one person passes it to you they will see they need to pass you the ball.

play hard and competitive and don't wine or complain about being the only girl.
-
if you go out there and dominate than they can't help but respect and need you. You get respect for your skills not your gender. Since they don't no you or your skill level yet, they don't know what to think. Give them a chance, it'll work out!!

Stop looking at yourself as a girl playing soccer on a boys team and as a soccer player. Play hard, demand the ball and then show what you can do when you get it.

Thank you all for the helpful advice it already has started to help.

play hard show what u can do with the ball and when u get the ball just imagine your the only one out there and NO boys around u,don't worry about being the only girl don't pay attention 2 them either just pay attention 2 your work and progress:)

Show them what you can do. Practice real hard. Like they say prctice makes prefect. Then when you show them your good you'll get respect in a heart beat.

just play hard and show them wut u got!!:) but dont treat ur self as a girl soccer player look at ur self as a team player!!!:D

you should gain there respect by not complaining that u r the only girl. u should focus on playing and maybe try to talk to them and see if they like to talk to u. if they don't, u could gain there respect by showing them that u got the skills. u go girl!

Kayla... Keep doing your best and practicing to do your best. Communication with your Teammates is key to being successful. Never give up or let them see your frustraition and they will come around.
I have a lot of girls that can out-play the boys... But it takes longer to work as a team. Let them know you are there when you call for the pass, just make sure you are open and they will come around.
Make sure when the Coach asks for volunteers for practice drills and such that you are first in line. When they see you wanting to be a part of the Team... you then tend to become part of the team.
Finally... the one player that does pass you the ball, he is your "IN". Partner up and see who he is working with, frienships can spread quickly this way and get you to the Team success you are looking for. Never Give Up and stay Positive! =0)I hope that helps...
