well kinda 1 and 2 you want to play fair and be nice so people will be nice back but you have to have the motivation

Well, cheaters NEVER prosper, so that's out. But you do want to let the other people know that you plan on playing hard and to the best of your ability. You don't want to be plain mean and rude, but you do want to be hard to come up against. And yes you want to play fair. When you are nice I find that the other team really appreciates that attitude. So go out and have fun but also be a hard person to beat.

Be fair and keep your sportsmanship and integrity in tact. Doing the right thing is the ONLY way to go.

I know a guy who is around many HIGHLY successful business people he said one thing he noticed about almost every one was very strong integrity. They didn't get ahead by cheating or conning people and I truly believe that many success principles from business and life also apply to success in softball.

YOU NEED ATTITUDE GOOD ATTITUDE. BECAUSE IF YOU DONT IT MIGHT LOSE YOU THE GAME. :)
