Are there any girls soccer trainers/camps that help girls without great financial means? We live in Maryland.

My daughter has the skills, but I can't afford to develop them.

Try contacting the folks on this page to see if they have any suggestions: www.msysa.org/Camp%20Directory/Camp%20Listing/index_E.html

Also, try MSYSA 2nd Vice President Gina Clapp at gmclapp2@aol.com and see if she can put you on a path.

I've contacted my local premier player development director who put me in touch with a premier coach. That coach allowed my daughter to come out and train with his team for a few sessions. The intent was to give a kid an opportunity to experience a higher level of play, and to give his kids a different look in training. A win/win for both sides. No guarantees, but worth the effort.

There are often local sports foundations in or near bigger communities who might be able to provide scholarship funds for your child.

And finally, contact directors local camps and ask if they can offer discounts for your situation.

    Best wishes
