45 min is a long way, but as long as they're having fun... You might check for programs in north Kalamazoo or south Holland. Not much closer, but maybe better than Portage.

Soccerzone in Oshtemo has a fall indoor program starting the beginning of October 2010 for 4-5 year olds. They let you attend one practice free, and if your child enjoys it then you have to register and pay the fee. I was impressed with the coaches and they way the program is set up. Start off with stretches, work on drills, then scrimage. Would recommend soccerzone.
