Does anyone have a drill to teach 7-9 year olds to stay in a 3 point stance.

    I have tried a few things, but the one thing that worked the best for me was just simply Practicing the Down and Set positions and holding them to build those muscles.

    What my coaches do if you dont do it right make them run till we get it right.

    Repition is the best teacher, every drill you do have them start in their stance. Lineman, linebackers,recievers everyone. After a while they will do it just from habit.

    make a gam out of it hav dem in a line but make it fun wer they want to be ther then change it up for them to shift

    my coaches if we didnt get it right would just push us down untill we could stay in position, all about balance. and yea did too many updowns and laps. you learn fast after geting hit if your not in the right position

    I have always taught, feet shoulder width apart, elbows to your knees, with your butt out, head up and drop your hand slightly in front of you. I teach this in a progression starting with the feet. hope this helps...
