I don't know what sport to pick. Cheer or Volleyball

I am a fifteen year old girl and I have a huge problem on my hands. I just recently moved to a new school and their sports programs aren't the greatest but neither am I. I played volleyball last year but the team had no spirit and we lost most of our games. I felt like the only one who was pumping up the team and half the time I was on the bench. Basically, the season was torture. Then during the rest of the school year I meet a lot of friends like me who are cheerleaders. I decide to try out. I made varsity and so did my friends. Heres the problem though, with all of the practices I am going to be exhausted and have no time for homework. Academics come first. I already feel committed to cheerleading and I just had a try-out for volleyball and I am stressing so much I probably have wrinkles. I want to quit volleyball even though I have been doing it for years, I just have no future in either so I need to decide which is more fun. The obvious choice is cheerleading but my volleyball coach is depending on me. I don't know what to do please help!

I ran into this problem before but with gymnastics and volleyball as the options.
Is there a place around you that offers volleyball year round? I know that where I live there are quite a few programs like that so you might ask around. If not, chose the sport you enjoy the most and which one will get you someplace later on in life.

You seem tu really like cheerleading and volleyball. Me too! They are my fave sports! maybe u shud just do some volleyball out of school that fits ur schedule and cheerleading at school. even if u don't want to let down ur coach schools do sports so that kids can enjoy themselves at school, meet people with the same interests and to just have fun!, not to stress u out! but maybe theirs a way to pick both. i no how u feel cuz i had made cheerleading jv and was co captain! but i new that my tryouts for volleyball wuz the same time as practices and games were the same day as practices so i begged my cheerleading coach to let me take some time off of cheerleading tu play volleyball. and since the volleyball season is like only a month or two she said yes as long as i practiced hard and learn the cheers from my friends. sorry it was soo long!

I would prefer volleyball, because its more of a team sport and that will definitly help you in the future. I'm not saying that cheerleading isn't a team sport. Volleyball also teaches you if you are mad bout one play then you get the whole team feeling down if your team isn't strong enough. So ALWAYS STAY POSITIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
