DO YOU HAVFE TO BE ABLE TO DO A TOE TOUCH TO ORDER TO MAKE IT IN VARISY CHEER?
yea...my friend told me that to order to make it in cheerleading i have to be able to do a toe touch but i am really bad at it and she is really good..but i have been doing cheerleading for four years already and yet i still cant do a toe touch! WHAT AM I GOING TO DO?! please help this is urgent..well not reallly! haha anyway please answer the question!:) thanks

Well yes it is VERY helpful if you have your toe touch down by the time to try out for varsity cheer but if you want you can ask your friend to help you with your toe touch so that you can be really good at them! Just stretch a ton and jump super high!

The coach will most likely let everyone know at a meeting or at tryouts if there are any absolute requirements (i.e. "We won't accept anyone on Varsity without a toe touch"). Most programs do an overall tryout score and take the highest scoring athletes, and therefore if you excel in another area - like tumbling or motions - you may still score high enough overall to make the team (even with low jump scores).

Well, varsity cheer if tough...well at least it is were I live. You should probably have a decent toe touch, nobody has a perfect toe touch unless you have an extended split, which many people can't get very easily! It would probably be best if you have a toe touch! Hope this answers your question!

thanks guys soo much!! yea my friend helps me but it just isnt working right,,and my mom said i had a good chance in getting on the team because i have been in youth cheer four 4 years now so...idk i dnt have time to really work on my toe touch cuz im very busy person,..well sorta haha but thanks all for answering!:)

Most of the time you do have to be able to do a toe touch to make varsity. But if you cheer really well they may sometimes make an exception

You Probably Diffidently do for my cheer team we at least have to have a backhadspring. Can you do a toe touch??
