Start looking at what schools you actually would want to go to (not just play softball at).
Contact them! Start a conversation letting them know you are interested. Show them you know something about their school or program and tell them a little about yourself.
I know that during THIS summer there were some programs still looking for 2010 grads, so it's not too late, but it WILL take effort on your part! Most top DI programs are done, so you cannot expect and hope for big name or popular schools at this point. Don't let it get you down if colleges are already done with 2011 grads. Keep looking, keep searching, and keep making contacts. Be genuine. Do not lie about your abilities or grades.
Make sure you have a way to quickly send video of you if they ask for it. You can also create a free profile of yourself at http://www.allaboutfastpitch.com/collegerecruiting.html

Write to the school that you wish to go to or more then one. Tell them this is who you are and where you are playing if they are interested they will come watch. But keep in mind, I suggest going to the college of your choices websites to look at the roster of the softball team and see if a catcher is what they are looking for, for the 2011 season if that makes sense to you? Hope I helped.
