The most frustrating thing for coaches, parents, and the kids is keeping the kids involved. You must rotate kids often from infield to outfield. Move the game along quickly to provide more times at bat. Coaches must encourage chanting for teammates while they bat and later pitch.

The most frustrating thing for me as a coach is having kids who are not there because they want to be there, but made to be there by parents, and they take time away from the players there to learn and play well.

I've found that lots of help is a bonus - small groups, rotated frequently with different ,but related exercises..I reckon they have an attention span of about 5 mins if under 12 yrs old so activity, variation & lots of fun essential!

1st year coach pitch: transition from tee-ball to coach pitch and the mix of 1-2 years experience with those playing for the first time. Our team has more new kids than others. Challenging but fun. Now if the temperature could drop
