In baseball pitching, what is the difference between "control" and "command" ?? I hear they aren't the same but not sure why.

    i know exactly what your talking about. I go to a pitching coach and he told me the difference between control and command. I dont really remember but control is how you control your body and your arm slots, while command is when you throw a pitch and it hits the target. They can mean the same thing at times but then at others totally different.

    Command can be defined as being able to throw the baseball to specific locations in the strike zone, while control can be defined as being able to throw strikes
