What are good drills for hitting... I am usualy an exceptional hitter but I can't get my bat on the ball since I went to 90 Ft. bases

I need help with my hitting... I am a 13 year old player in my second spring season and can't get a hit on the 90 Ft. base field.

    Hi Melissa. Adjusting to 90 ft is tough ... hang in there! You're likely dealing with two changes. The first is the new distance which messes with your timing. The second is the new talent level of pitchers you're facing. Check out the hitting section of the free Baseball Skills & Drills library here on Weplay at http://www.weplay.com/youth-baseball/drills . But the best solution is practice. Nothing replaces the repetition of seeing live pitching or a batting cage. That will produce results. Good luck!

    Hi Melissa, Try bunting. start getting a bat on the ball. Then build on that success. If you try this, remember not to lunge bunt but rather try to "catch" the ball with the bat, as if the bat were a glove. Also all hitters have good times and bad times but they alway have one thing in common, they are ready to play.
