Ask MLB 10yr. Veteran Brian McRae at talk@ifungo.com. Brian has joined up with iFungo.com to help young baseball players of today with any hitting instruction, drills, or advice.

Matt - I wish I knew this drill when I was playing. Harold Reynolds posted it here: http://www.weplay.com/youth-baseball/drills/302-Tony-Gwynn-Drill . Ryan Howard also has some good advice if you go to the overall hitting category. Lastly, if you don't have someone to help you, try putting up a tee on the outside of the plate and practice hitting a ball at a fence/net. Make sure to drive your hands through the zone leading the bat. Good luck!
