Cody, one if your a young player(i guess this could be for any age group), know the limits on your throws, if it's a long throw make sure you hit the cut off man, your not out there to impress anyone, your job is to get the throw back to the infield as quick as possible, of course if it's a short bloop hit to the outfield you may need to stop the runner from taking a extra base and make that throw. Without going into a lot of details, good throwing techniques are covered in some of the drills on WePlay & you can also find some good information at Webball.com

Hello Cody, here are a few tips I give my players; before you throw make sure to hold the ball away from you, like you are holding it against a wall, then point your glove towards your target, then step and throw to your target. Aim for their chest, and once you get good at that start aiming at the glove side of your target. If you throw too high, then try bending at the waist and touching your opposite knee after the throw. I hope this helps, and keep on practicing, that always helps.

Like Bob said, make sure you have proper stride direction, stepping toward your target when you throw. Be sure to check out the Weplay vids like Coach Moore suggested, good stuff. Also, make sure to have proper hand separation and arm position when throwing - this according to Bud Black:
