My first question Taylor is is it a softball bat? I have seen many kids try to use a baseball bat for softball, which is illegal. My next question is what rules do you play by? There are different rules for ASA, NSA, PONY, USSSA and other organizations. These organizations require that bats are certified by them and you can tell this usually by a logo on the bat.

The most common reason that softball bats are illegal is that the bat is probably made with a foreign material or something to do with the walls inside. Some composite bats have inside walls that maybe have too many which causes the ball to come off the bat just like a trampoline. Another reason is that your bat might be altered. Some bats can be sanded or doctored so that it helps the bat perform better. but it all depends, I hope this helped.

taylor. you know ron has explained this to you a billion times. its because of the date stamped on the bat. im pretty sure that all of the bats have the same stamp and they expired in like 2001 or something like that.

It is probablly missing one of it's approved stamps. This comes from a softball player, (never had an illegal bat) many umpires check that. Make sure you have a stamp that says it's approved before you buy it! I hope this helped..... OH AND GOOD LUCK!!!!11
