Don't worry Madison, in softball failure is not measured the same as in other things You have to remember that if a major league ballplayer gets a hit 3 times out of 10, he's an all-star. Babe Ruth was for a long time the home run king but what most people don't know is that he also was the all time strike out king. Many people think that hitting in softball is even harder than in baseball. So keep your head up, try your best and bash the ball!

Just remember your playing because you like the game not because fans are watching, so have fun and swing away.

what i do is choose my favorite song, or just a song that is stuck in my head, and i sing it to myself over and over again when i am in the batters box. It makes me not focus on being nervous, and it also does not make me think and over play the game.

First would have more practice drills on hitting when training. This will help on building confidence. Next is to be able to block those thoughts from your head. Learning breathing techniques will help. Always remember when you are able to see the ball more, you will hit the ball or even move away from it if it comes toward you. But this can only happen when you're relaxed and your thoughts are clear
