    1. Make sure to point you front shoulder to the target
    2. Footwork should also mimic the shoulders (just like you're riding a skateboard)
    3. Play a lot of quick catch, try catching the ball as close to your body as possible for quick transitions

find a brick wall, use tape or something like that to make a square target. Start close to the wall and throw the ball in the box. As you get better, move back further. Make sure you hit inside your target box. Challenge yourself to figure out how to throw by making a game of it. If you hit your target, move back a step and so on until you miss then start over.

It's a method of self teaching. If you hit your target with something on it, you've probably thrown well. If you miss, you have to make the adjustment to hit it. While you do that, you develop feel and learn what throwing techniques work.

I try to coach throwing in differrent ways but here is one drill we use to simulate the throwing technique without actual wearing your arm out doing a ton of throwing. (I do like the above suggestions as well).

This drill can be done indoors or out...
Take a small towel, (dish towel for instance) and tie a knot in one end. Get yourself in proper throwing position (athletic stance, feet shoulder width apart) point your glove elbow to your imaginary target and, in slow motion, go through your delivery holding the loose end of the towel. Where the knot would land, place a bucket or similar object. Repeat the above process in regular speed concentrating on hitting the bucket top center each time.

For my son, we have measured his full extension and marked it with painters tape in our basement. We also marked a straight line so he knows the correct path to follow. I would recommend about 20-30 of these per day to teach muscle memory without wearing your arm out.
