it all depends for what team you play for and how big the other girls are. also if you have good talent then you need to see how you stack up against the rest of the team..Hope this helps a bit...

Marin,
Sorry, but the chances of a 5'8 or less player playing front row for a division one college are slim and none. There are just too many very good 6 footers playing now. However, the lower divisions are a good possibility. Don't settle for my imput here...apply, send videos and recommendations, let yourself be seen by as many of your favorite coaches as possible. 6 footers are jumping and reaching to over 10 feet. If you can do that too, what difference does your height make? -
No, those heights are not normal..they are exceptional. That is why it is so difficult (not impossible) for a 5'8" hitter to play front row div.I college volleyball.

No, not normal-rare at any age.

5'8" is pretty common. A 36" vertical jump is rare.

You'll find and OH and a setter both at 5'6
Dream big and work hard -
They have incoming freshman Mikinzie Moydell, from Chaparral High School in Colorodo. If she's not quit ready come first game then Marika Racibarskas a sophomore will likely take the position until she is ready.
