    Josh:
If you are having issues with blisters on your thumb there are two most likely reasons:
    1. Your bowling ball needs to be checked to insure your grip hasn't changed (As your hand grows your grip will change. This is normal)
    2. Your bowling style (approach) has changed

Suggest you touch base with a USBC Certified Coach to help diagnose your situation. The good news is that either situation can be fixed.

    Hope this helps.

A blister indicates that your ball is not correctly fitting your hand. You need to visit your local pro shop and have them help you get it adjusted to fit better.

Josh, you don't say if you're new to bowling, or if you have your own ball. If you're new and not using your own ball, that's your problem. Bowling requires a ball with a proper fit to your hand, otherwise there will be problems. If it is your own ball and it's just been fit properly then it is in your grip. You may be holding the ball by squeezing it with your fingers and thumb. It should be held so the weight of the ball is on the fingers, then when you release it the thumb just slides out rather than releasing and rubbing. Otherwise Coach Jeff is giving you good advice for the other situations.

All the time... go to your local proshop or drug store (Walmart,Walgreens, etc.)and get New Skin or at the proshop its called something like skin protector. It is this liquid you can put over the blister, cut, etc. and when it hits your skin and mixes with air it dryes a solid so its like tape but not near as thick and sticky and things of that sort. It really helps me and at your proshop it is much cheaper then tape plus u dont have to go through the hastle of getting the adhessive all ovr and things like that. Also most New Skin and Skin Protector comes with these little like net patches. Put a layer of Skin Protecotor on then sick the little patch to it then put another layer on and it helps it more but if its not bad you dont normally have to put the patch on. I usually dont :) So I recommend getting the one from your proshop because it drys alot faster and stays on longer. Sometimes you might have to put two layyers on but it is totalllyyy worth it! Hope this Helps!
