All good answers, even though the Yankees had one of the greatest hitting teams in baseball history, but it was their run in 30's that was incredible, the won the WS in 36,37,38,39, and then won in 41 and 43, I don't think we'll ever see that again. Curry your Phils are sure becoming the class in the National League, let's see if they can keep it up. Jason, the Cleveland Indians in 1954 won 111 games, they only played 154 then, so you can say that one of the most impressive seasons in baseball history, even though they lost the WS that year to the Giants. I also think we should consider the Oakland A's of the the early 70's when they won 3 straight WS. Boy it's fun to look back.

1930's Yankees.no doubt

1970's Cincinatti Reds. They were amazing with players like Johnny Bench and Pete Rose. 2 World Series in those years, too.
