Any ideas on what to work on this summer for cheer?
So i was on the squad this year but i had to quite the night of our first game because i messed up my ankle and i had hurt it twice before that so i had to let it heal and i would really like to train this summmer but i dont realy have any one to help me so it would be all me i plan on running and maybe doing stairs and stuff but what else could i work on to get ready?I really want to do good in chear but we dont do lots of stunts or anything just fulls and cradles is about it our school is very small. And i would like to maybe bring something to the squad next year!

my squad this year is very small too. you could have daily excerises that u could do and maybe switch them up every other day. you can do squats and kicks to build more strength in your legs. you can do push ups for your arms and sit ups and crunches for your abs. you can also lay on the floor and push ur self up and hold it for two minutes or as long as you can..that helps with all three. there are many more things you can to too build up some strength and these excerises really help. i hurt my ankle during cheerleading back in september..to prevent that wear a brace and start ur excerises and stuff off slowly. these excerises will help with your stunts and tumbling.

Use your foot (not your leg) to write your ABCs in the air. Work one foot at a time and make large letters. This works almost all of your ankles' muscles/tendons. It will help to make your ankles stronger.
Work on the basics this summer--jumps and motions.-

always always workout at least one a day 6 times a week.. it helps alot..
