I like for my Daughter to play with older, more experianced kids, Watch and learn from them, and then when you reach 12 or 13 you will play at a higher level than they did.

My daughter is 15 playing and has played with college players and is a great player because of it.

i most deffinately know what youre talkin about!!!!!!!!!!! i was the only 12 year-old on a 16u and 18u league teams!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! but all of the girls were very supporting of me pitching for them even though i was a lot younger. so even though your the youngest one, just remember, you wouldnt be there unless you were needed =)

Yeah i play and have played a year or two ahead and its more of a challange, but if your really good its a better way to go because its better to be too hard than too easy+if you are 12 like me than you either have to play 14 or 12 so i can play up.

it really helps you progress. I'm 14 years old and the only freshmen on my team i dont even turn fifteen till june. most of the girls on my team are juniors and then we play 18u ball and practice against community colleges, yes its intimidating at first but it really gives you great experience. trust me im a pitcher and i have had 6 foot 5 college girls come to the plate against OMG

I have experienced this is a kind of different way. I'm 13 and playing for 14U. When I first started fastpitch, I wasn't good at all. I was playing for a school team at the time. I watched the other girls and tried to learn from them, The coach didn't really believe in me but I wanted to prove it to myself that I could do it. I've only been playing fastpitch for a year and a half but I stuck with it and people say I'm one of the best on my team. Just believe in yourself and everyone else will too.

Don't worry about what others think of you. If you're out there to have fun, then go out and have fun! If you're out there to be the best, then go out there and do your best! All they can ask of you is to do your best. So go out there and show them that age doesn't really matter at all and have fun in the process.

Im the exact same way! I just turned 12 and im on a 14u team. And i was the only 6th grader on the 7th and 8th grade schoolteam. But the fact of the matter is that just because your young, doesnt mean you should give up. All u have to do is work hard, and show your stuff. Your age obviously aint a problem to ur coach, its skills that keep you in his mind, but make sure u dont let him notice your age by doing immature things. But try and do ur best, and they will respect you for that. At first they might look at u like ur a baby, but when u show ur skillz, ur skills will help u stay in the race for age. I love my team, even though im still the baby, they respect and love me. Keep working and you wont even notice an age difference. Good luck!

Erika is actually on my team and she is one of the best out there. I'm 13 and the 2nd youngest. Yeah we are you but our team is like a family and everyone helps each other. Just make sure you get close to you your team so they can help you. Everyone on your team will respect you if you go out there and have fun. Your coach will notice your skills not your age if you carry yourself like you are the same age as the rest of the girls on your team.

yupppp. i was 12 on a 14s team. you are all playing at the same level. theres nothing wrong with being young. you'lll be just as good as the girls older than you and since your starting early you'll get better and better as you get older.

I am on a 12b team and i am one of the younget players. i am in 5th grade and most of my other teammates are in sixth grade. One other player is in fourth grade. It doesnt matter how old you are , it matters how you play and your attitude. So if you are on a team and you ate 10 years old and everyone else is 13 .If the team is all the same while they play, it is a good thing because the 10 year old is playing the same as a 13 year old!!!!!!
