Recent research into this timeless question suggests that neither the chicken nor the egg came first. Actually there was a little known creature that had a hard surfaced outer shell that protected its internal organs. Only the head, wings and legs were outside of the protective shell. I'm pretty sure that this creature was dubbed a CHEGG, CHELL, or SHICKEN; I don't remember which. If you have trouble believing this you can chick it out on Chikipedia. So I guess that they arrived at about the same time. I'm a school teacher, so you have to believe me.
