as Qb u help the team out by doing your job, as the starter you have been given what responsability you should put first. It's great u wan't to do more, but you have to think whats best for the team and if your being asked to slide then thats probably best. we have our Qb slide and you can check his stats on Ga prep sports. check nick dean under player stats and you can find a answer.

Your a QB so Your team will protect you. Including your coach. And you should trust the line will protect you long enough for something to develop. But As a leader!! you are the shining light, the spark, the One who when nothing is going the teams way must make something happen. I not saying be Reggie bush but even the slowest and goofiest QBs occasionally run the ball to get that ever important first down ,or that run in TD to put his team in the lead. You must make elevate your team to a new level of play. look what brett fare is doing for the vikings. Lead by example. my son is 9 yrs old. he is a qb. the last game of the season they were down by a TD. His team had 40 secs left on the clock with no time outs on thier own 20 yard line. the play was a passing play and the defense set up as ifthey knew. When the ball was snapped he ran it himself all the way down to the other teams 15 yard line. then his Fullback ran it in for a TD. and then his TE ran it in for the two point conversion while he led the way. Don't believe me. look at "game 6" "P.I. Chargers here on weplay."
You must be the leader of the team!!
