    I would not tryout for bball because then your focus is on just softball. Also if you play bball you might be too tired for when softball starts. If you workout every night you can be in the physical shape you want to be and work at your own pace.

    If you really love softball then you will find time to practice it regardless of if you play basketball or not. Being a part of a team( in any sport) will give you an edge mentally and physically over others. I am a coach at a small high school and I encourage my players to go out for multiple sports. Most of them excell in one sport, but being a multi-sport athlete makes you a better athlete overall. Like I said, if you are truely devoted to softball you will find time to practice it and get ready for your season despite playing other sports.

    i would work on softball. that's what i'm doing now every night. i'm doing weights every other day. if u really want to do both then take the advice of Chris Carter
