Do what you can, when you can do it. There's just not enough time in life to do everything that we want, and what others want for us. Keep it fun and reasonable. In the off season, try to throw a few times a week. 200 pitches every day during the off season, while playing volleyball, doing homework and just being a regular person might be too much. As long as you keep it reasonable, you'll keep it fun and life in general will be more productive. As soon as it becomes a dread, you won't be as productive.

won't comment on if 200 a day is too much. but in baseball 60 every other day with two consecutive day's off at least every 10 days or so is good and 6 - 8 weeks with no throwing for 4 weeks then just warm ups for 2 - 4 before begining agian. thats what it takes to stay primed to pitch in baseball. If you softball throwers are working that hard i am afraid you might end up with epidemic arm issues also.

Remember that both sports use your arms a lot. Be very careful not to strain them. You really need to talk to both coaches to balance this out. If something bad happens, you'll end up being out of both and resentment will come. Make sure YOU are enjoying both sports. With that much practice (pitching and whatever position you play in volleyball) you may burn out before your time. Ask if there's a substitute for pitching that many times for weight training. Talk to your doctor and have him/her monitor your growth plate as well.

I know what you mean. I have several things going on in my life to, but everyday when I get home, I throw 100 pitches, hit 100-125 balls and lift weights on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. After that I come up and do my hwk and whatever else that is needed to be done
