Question
Hey every body do think it would be easy to make a 6th grade basketball team if you have not evan played basketball for a long time and if you do have a answer please tell me because i want to make this 6th grade baketball team.

It really depends on what type of competition there is for the team. If you have not played in a while, your skills will not be as sharp as other kids that may have been playing rec. and travel basketball. However, it is possible that you are still good enough to make the team and then work on your game during the season.

Most people think basketball is about skills - it's not. I tell my players basketball is 25% skill 75% mental. Have the right attitude which is "I can get better, and I will get better". If a coach can see that in a player we call that being coachable. I would take a coachable player over a player who thinks they are the best any day of the week. You don't have to be the best player on the team - be the player that gives the most effort. Happy Ballin'

Hey Warren, I never saw this question before today... You never let them know you made the team and you were the 6th!!!! He did an awesome job and the team went 37-7
