Question
I'm currently a tight-end. Can anyone give me tips on how to become a wide-receiver? I'm 10 so I might not understand most of it. Just make it easy for me to undrestand.

My best advice for a 10 year old that eventually wants to be a wide reciever is "play tight-end" for the next 2 years. TE's can run the exact same routes as wide- receivers in fact at your age a lot of teams throw to the TE more then the WR, because they are faster routes. The advantage to playing TE is you learn how to become a good blocker and you learn how to keep your balance and continue to run a pass pattern after being bumped by the DE and linebacker. If you were my kid and wanted to be a wr eventually I would tell you to play TE.

Look at your competition first and then make a decision on weather or not you still want to make that move. Where do you think you can help the team out more. Other than that, ask the coach can you start practicing with the recievers. And make sure you give 120% every time. Get a tennis ball and toss it up daily. To catch it, touch both thumbs together and the index fingers together to form a diamond. Get to practice early and get in about 25-35 catches before practice starts everyday. That's how you get better. Take advantage of your time. Write down the routes on paper and go through them as well.
