image that your alone or just relax when your playing.

I played tight-end in high school football and always had issues with getting the long ball over my shoulder (the lights and excitement was too much). What I did was to play more... the more you play on the "big stage" the more confidence you'll gain. Find more leagues and more games and build up that confidence. I find confidence is what makes great player great and good player good... don't confuse confidence with attitude or cockeyness, they are different and I don't welcome the latter on my teams.

ur gonna do. Darelle porter told me if u put ur fingers on the laces and shoot. -
im the one in the orange
-
just imagine that every shot isnt a big deal during a game and it doesnt matter too much wheather it goes in or our
-
it's probably a comfort problem so you are going to have to pretend that you are at home shooting , if that doesn't work start playing basketball with random people to see if that helps bring your shot out.
-
Seriously just look at the ugliest person in the crowd........and play trust me it works
-
just trying ad trying u could solve the problem...it's not easy..but it's the only way...I had the same problem when i would play tennis and after 4 year it stopped.....now i've this problem with the basket like u..
-
i use to have the same problem but then i found out its because your used to the enviroment at your house. If you can(this is what i did and it helped)go to different locations about every 2 days so you get used to playing in new arenas.
-
Maybe its that you are to focus on the crowd when your not thinking bout your next action.... i mean i had the same problem to but i learned to tune things out so i can focus much better

It does sound like you are rushing your shot. If you are shooting off the catch,
make sure you are ready when you receive the ball. Feet set, etc. Then, take
time to "gather yourself" as you catch it. Take a short breath as you prepare to shoot.
If you are shooting off the dribble, you must get your eyes up on the backboard. There is a lot going on, but you must see your target!! -
I have that same problem. God I hate that!!
-
just relax, have more confidence in yourself and your results will turn out better for you.
-
Same problem ,but with all around game. I try just to take it slow and don't rush if you rush you won't have a good shot.
-
firstly, practice more..and in the game when you shoot,,believe that you will make..it makes you to shoot better :))
-
yeah just act like your the only one there... and block out every1 .. get in the zone
lol .. it works ... just tell yourself... rite over the top of the rim.. and block everhting
out . that wat i do lol ":D -
have somone try to disrtact you when your playing at home and when you get in the game it will be like it is at home
-
Act like you are mad at them and drive to the basket...Lolz!
-
be happy that your on the court, take a deep breath if your feelin the pressure and block the crowds out, focus on the game and not whats around you.
-
pretend your alone and just focus on the ball.
