how do i work on one hoppers

im learning to play first and i am TERRIBLE at one hoppers and fielding but like i used to be really good at them and then one day i like couldnt field anymore but im getting better but like does any one have any advice??????????

    It is important to stay relaxed and wait to see where the throw is going to take you. You can either go out and get the throw on the short hop by stretching to the ball or use soft hands and take the throw on the long hop. The key is to not stretch early!!!

    Keep practicing. A good drill to do alone is throw a ball against a wall and scoop it like your are playing 1st or fielding a ground ball. Rememer to follow the ball into your glove with your eyes and practice practice practice.

    continue practicing...after catching and throwing ask your partner to give you one hoppers. Do this everyday until your comfortable with it. Start with easy grounders and increase difficulty and angle as you move to next sets and days. Start with 8-10 reps then increase difficulty of the bounce.
