what's the best parental response when a kid wants to quit a sport he likes but the teammates are teasing him?

    I think if he love's playing it and is good at it then i would tell him that them kid's want be in his life forever and what they say don't matter and to tell him that don't make them make you stop something you love.

    BB Mom,
    Teasing can be a very serious problem that needs immediate attention. Teasing is a form of harrassment and can be punishable by law. If this is a scholl situation you must let the coach and an administrator know. Document everything. If you don't get results, then go to the school board. If this is a private organization, let the coach know first, then tell the organization administrator. Again, keep documentation.

    What's the reason for him or her being tease'd? Lack of skill,size etc. In any case respect
    is not giving it's earn'd.Sometime a kid comes into a new situation [team] where he or she are not known that mean's they must work harder not only for coachs to respect them
    but other kids as well.If they truly love the game all the teasing will stop fast.""''the little engine that could, rudoplh the red nose raindeer,the lion king etc.
