first you have to get a board team together --- put some by-laws down --- raise some m
money... then you go out in your community and start recruiting...... once you have
that done then you find a league that you can enter ...... POP WARNER or
a YOUTH FOOTBALL LEAGUE in your area.......

RUN! Run far and don't look back. Kidding of course but there will be days! Good luck.

Hello future "COACH", first of all you want to tally up the kids that may be interested in playing football. The next step is getting the parents involved. Once you have the first two steps in motion it should be down hill from there. What you are about to attempt will not be an easy task but hang in there and the end results will be well worth the ups and downs.

The first step is to identify a local league that you are interested in joining. If you are interested in Pop Warner you have to be aware that every league has a boundary and new associations must request to affiliate with an established league if you setup shop within the league's boundaries. The next step is to find out what the procedures or application process and fees are for the local league. In the case of the SEMPWFL; we require new associations to have articles of incorporation, bylaws, and a budget. Pledged sponsors, seed money, and/or equipment on hand are also all essential. We may also require a marketing plan and business and/or personal references.
