My son recently broke his arm. When he is able to play again, what would you recommend protecting his cast with?

    Hi Rich,

    I am not sure about your league rules, but our rules state that kids are not allowed to play with hard casts - just thought I'd mention this - you might want check that out.

    As for your question, that is a tough one - I would think that the cast should be strong enough to withstand anything that could be "dished out" during a game.

    Our State rules allow us to play with hard cast as long as they are padded. i was checking to see what some people might use as padding.

    Some kids in our league were able to pad their hard casts (had to be a certain thickness, but I can't remember what that was). I believe they used egg crate foam. Best of luck!!

    I broke my arm in April and after i got my cast off i wore a brace.
