Sleep affects how well you can focus in a game or at practice. It recharches your body and mind to get the job done. I like to take naps in between games.

Our daughter works with professional coaches and has been told to always get 8 hours prior to play but to limit naps to waking up at least 2 hours prior to play (if napping between games) It does keep your mind focused and your stress level minimal.
