Talk to the coach and see what fundraiser are offered. If possible see if you are allowed to get sponsors.

Advertise babysitting services, walk dogs, help get groceries for the elderly.
Sell some of the things you can do without. Have a garage sale, get on eBay.
Do anything and everything you possibly can to pay for this experience and the rewards will be priceless.
Fundraising , outside work, and sponsorship might compromise the rules of the league, you don't know until you ask, so be sure to find out what you are able to do. Your coach will help you find ways and will know the ins and outs of what is available to you in order to raise the moulah you need to play ball!

Fundraising is the key. Also a lot of teams/organizations do offer scholarships if asked by parents. Talk to the coordinators and see if they offer anything. Call family and friends and simply ask them to chip in etc. If all else fails, go talk to the other parents on the team. I have helped other parents chip in to help a child that wants to play whose parents couldnt afford it.
