Candice, have you looked online? I would suggest watching any instructor interact with kids before you commit to training with them. It doesn't matter how many years the instructor played, or how many awards they have received. What matters is if they can truely connect with the young athlete.
Listen to what they say. Do they command or demand the athlete do this or that? Or do they ask questions, try to guide them through discovery. If you hear the word "I" or "me" too much from the instructor, run for the hills.
Hope this helps with the selection process.

Candice, are you looking for a league for your kids to play in or softball/baseball coaches for more one on one training? There are several leagues as well as a few travel ball teams out here in the A.V. I normally find out about signups and teams looking for players either in the local newspaper or through word of mouth.
