Did the coaches/judges tell you anything you need to inprove on???

i would just say practice so you will be 10 times as good next year :]

and maybe get into a gym cheer or tumbling program

i didnt make my cheerleading team the first time either. it actually helps that you didnt make it so that you know what to expect next year. just practice and remember that all judges are suckers for FACES & SPIRIT. just do your best and hopefully youll make it next time

Hi, I am a cheerleading all star coach. Join an all star program (of course this can be very costly depending on where you choose to go) but is definitely worth it. Girls who tend to be with an all star team tend to be more advanced going in to school cheerleading. However, that doesn't mean if you don't your doomed. Some of the best cheerleaders practice and practice and practice on their own time. I would suggest at least a gymnastics class-since going to high school now pretty much 'requires' it. A standing back hand spring at least now is usually a requirement to make high school cheer (not all high schools, but most). Ask yourself: Do you know a lot about stunting and jumps? if your answer is no or even a little bit...find an all star gym and request 'basic cheer training' non competition. This will be a little cheaper and could help you in these area's. I hoped this helped you sweetie!! Good luck to you in the future- visit my page to tell me if you made it next time or not! SMILE (the last girl was right),,,but don't overdo it either-that is just too cheesey for school cheer.

Make sure your moves are tight and crisp! Having good form is one of the most important things! An all start team would be great but does cost mega $$$. If you cannot afford that than try and sign up for a dance class. Having tight moves on top of being able to pull off a group routine down to the second will be a great help for you! GOD LUCK!*

well i am a competition cheerleader. what you should do is practice harder with flexabilty n everything n try out nextyear or next season. it can be a lot of fun if u do try out for competiton cheerleading. not most team cut you most will keep you cheering and will help you with anything that you may need help with. or if you do go out for your high school team they may cut you which would be harder for you to make the tea. i tryed out gor my high school teambut then i had to qutit because the coach made everything the same day i had competition things so i was happy i quit cause comp. ios much more fun you get to go to place far way places

    Hi,
Most People who try out for the cheerleading team and dont make it is because
they are not still and dont pop out your moves really good, or isnt loud, or dosent
get the cheer or chant right,
who ever is teaching you this cheer/chant,
if you dont get it dont be afraid
to ask questions, you can understand more if you ask them how to do it. any more questions feel free to ask me =]]

during tryouts u need to show them ur the best and have the confidence in your self. using ur diaphram and not ur throat will help alot with u being louder. your movements needs to be extremely tight and u need to have facial expressions showing ur going to help pump up the crowd! and tht ur enjoying it. it also might help to have some tumbling skills and splits.

I didnt make my school squad either for the first year. So i joined a rec. team and improved my skills such as my jumps, my tumbling, my tightness, my loudness. Then i tried again the second time and made it. All you have to do is practice as much as you can to improve those types of skills and you will do fine if you practice.
