First is to change your mentality on hitting. When you hit think of it as a challenge and have fun doing it, not something you have to do so you wont get embarrassed because you're adding pressure on yourself.

It looks like you're doing fine just build on what you know and continue practicing

Attitude is everything! Especially in the batters box, you have to have the mentality that you are going to hit the ball. Don't go up there looking for walks! or hoping you will hit the ball. You sound like you have a good foundation, Now just be positive and go for it!

There are many asspects of batting and playing softball in general that you can do to help. Attitude and your mental batting game is in my opinion the part of your batting that will take you from being a good batter to being a great batter. Go into the batter's box with confidence that you are going to hit the ball and teach yourself to forget the strike zone. Instead look for hittable and unhittable pitches. Those that are hittable are ones you need to key on, by doing this you will take the umpire out of the equation and be more aggressive at the plate. Last but not least, to be a great hitter you must do what great pitchers do. Practice, practice, practice....pick up your bat every day and work on some type of drill or hit in cages or do tee work with wiffle balls in the back yard but do something with your bat.

I agree with lots of tee work. Usually when you are in a slump or you just want to become a better hitter, that is when you really have to work on the basics of hitting. Like stay level, dont drop that bach shouder, and have fun. Dont get nervous at the plate. The way I look at it, why am I so scared of hitting? Im not scared to play defense, so whats the difference? Every other girl in the world is afraid of failure. When what you should be worrying about is misopportunity. Also, just stay strong a player. Always put all the energy you have in everything you do for your team and they will be thankful.

If you are willing to put forth the effort and serious about being a better hitter set yourself a weekly goal of the number of hours hitting in the cage, off of the tee, soft toss, laying down bunts, hitting a bag, or any other hitting aide you can. But, first you must wany to! Make sure you are Balanced when you begin and end your swing. Swing all of the way through. Make sure your head does not move and you eyes stay around the plate after contact. Hip rotate then your hands go then the head of the bat goes thru the ball. Be comfortable in your stance and confident. Have fun!!!!!!!

you wouldnt be letting your coaches/team down. trust me. ive thought that before too. just go and hit on the tee or into a net/cage.
i am a third baseman/catcher/outfielder and my main spot is hittng. i bat 4th or 5th now. and its fun. just remember/

i've always noticed, i always hit my best when im relaxed and having fun. dont stress too much on mechanics in games. i work hard on that in practice so i have no worries in games. i also hit off the tee a lot, as boring as you may think that is, it is very helpful. thats just my opinion though.
