I agree that you need to take tumbling classes, but there is no time frame on when you will learn to do any skill.

Tumbling is hard and it take a lot of work and time commitment to achieve certain skills. BEWARE of ANY coach that promises you a skill in a set amount of time. I have been coaching gymnastics and cheerleading for 14 years and I still have no clue when a athlete will finally decided that they are going to do a skill by themselves.

The best thing to do to guarantee progress is to get a good solid foundation. Take the time needed to learn your base skills; forward roll - later a front tuck, backwards roll - later a back tuck, handstands - it is in everything , , , cartwheel, round off, front and back walkover, front and back handspring. etc.

Do not rush, learn it right. It is so much harder to fix a bad habit then it is to take the time to learn it correct in the first place. Tumbling builds on itself. A great round off will turn in to a easy, safe round off BHS tuck. A bad round off gets you to a lot of injuries.

Find a gym and a coach that fits you and you will learn what you need too.

    Good Luck on your tumbling.
