Well since she's so young, thhere probably aren't many volleyball teams locally. You could find out if the middle school she may be attending soon has a volleyball squad/team. Mine did. A basic thing to learn the basics are learning how to bump the ball. You overlap your hands, and fold your thumbs over to bacome a flat surface which makes it easier to hit the ball. It's easy enough to spike it; jump and smack the ball with the lower part of your palm at its highest point the you can reach. Serving is hard to explain but easy enough to learn later on. Hope this answered at least some of your question. good luck.

Ok well good that she knows she wants to do something. What you may want to look for, depending on where you are, YMCA, Parks and Recreation departments, schools, look for club programs like USA
Volleyball. If your local public school isn't offering a program, ask at the private schools. Even if they won't let her on a team they may allow her to practice with the team. If you don't have any school programs in your area it is tough to look forward to scholarships as she will have to show her skills on a team. You need at least a high school level team. There are lots of scholarships for girls volleyball almost as many as for basketball, but there is less competition for the spots. So if she is willing to work hard to be the best person available she can get a scholarship.Height is great for the sport but only if it is coupled with knowledge and practiced skills. So even if you can't find her a team, get a volleyball and start practicing with her. Start with the simple bump pass. Your hands come together either in a hand over fist or in making like a cup to drink from, with your thumbs together beside each other and then pointed straight down to the floor. This will hyper extend your elbows and create a flat platform out of your forearms. Start with your elbows about waist high to just below shoulder height. Now the important part, don't swing your arms at all, and your hands should never go above your shoulders. When the ball comes down just stand up with your knees and use your forearms to guide the ball in the direction of the setter.
Key points - keep elbows straight, bend knees, do not swing arms, make contact using the middle of the forearms then straighten the knees to lift the ball.
Practice this over and over. Toss the ball to her then when she has the pass down make her move and chase the ball and make a good pass.Look online for videos showing the different skills and practice them. But you will eventually have to find a team so that she can put the skills to work.
Good luck

You already received some great advice. Be sure that you buy a volly-lite ball for her to use. At age 7 her bones are still developing and the last thing you want to do is mess that up. The volley-lite ball is the same size but just does not weigh as much. Most parks and recs departments have city league play for her age. I would not wait, I would start teaching now. If you don't have enough volleyball skills your self you can get a volleyball tutor from your local high school. It may cost you $5-10 for an hour lesson but it could pay off big. Please remember she will not learn this sport in one day. The best practice every day for months (more like years) Good luck

Im in Middle school to but ive been doing club for a long time so ya. But i dont Think theres one for 7 year olds only for 10 n over. u can try with da simple ready pasitions n just have her jump outside. Like put something really high on top of her and tell her to try n touch it. like a towl or somethin. this is so she can be really good when it comes to the net n blocking. Have her get a volleyball and play with it for 1 or 2 hors then she might not wanna play it if she doesnt like it. But make sure she touches the ball at least 160 times a day tell her to just toss it in her hands or somethin. If u have any more questions just ask but be specifik. Ill be able to either give u my advice or ask my coach. Im currently Paying Watsonville Crush Volleyball!
