Question

I just completed our 9/10 yr old draft and wound up with a team averaging 80 lbs but very fast. What kind of offense is best for this?

We have 15 players, half are aggressive and half are very quick/fast. Only two 100 pounders but one of those is our stud athlete. I am looking for the best fit offense running against teams whose average size will be 100+ (compared to our 80 lb avg). There are some teams who will severely out-size us. Any suggestions?

the spread or the wing t would probaly work best utilize your teams abilities to there fullest its not always the biggest team who wins but the team who is fundamentally sound remember low man wins everytime teach your kids to get low and be aggressive

if ur QB is fast do some sweeps with him & run some reverse plays with ur W.R. & Tightend just let the line pull to the side ur running to but not everytime ur line should hit low & turn there bodies so they can close the gaps

Read up on the single wing. Great for small teams.

    1. Thanks, Shawn. If it is no trouble, I could use anything you are willing to email (cnpunter@charter.net). Thanks, again.

I will stick to keeping it on the ground but if your QB has an arm and your
WR have the speed then i will go with about 40 % passing plays and 60% running plays

    1. Do you have the full playbook? We use it as a changeup offense and have had great success. The wedge play gets us positive yards every time. I also run a twins offense that resembles the single wing. I can fax some plays if you have a fax number.

    2. That would be great but all I have is an email address if you want I can give you my playbook to? Just give me your email address. PS: have you tried any wildcat formations?

I really like what the single wing has did for fifth and sixth grade team I coach. Just remember that you don't need fifteen or twenty plays. Five to ten plays that your kids know like the back of there hands will work. I like the wedge, buck lateral, sweep, and reverse.

Mike, Just search for single wing in google. You will see a bunch of plays you can use. It is really easy to change some of them yourself and make them misdirection plays and release your end and throw a pass out of the sweep. We had a small fast line and we made the playoffs three years in a row using the single wing. The wedge play was guaranteed to get 3 to 4 yards per carry if you can teach the kids to stay shoulder to shoulder. We averaged 28 points a game and hardy ran anything else.
