It's never too late!

It's never too late, but unless you have stayed in shape or just have mad skills you are going to have to put in some extra work to get up to speed with the rest of the team. If you are dedicated and are able to put in extra other than just team practices, you will get where you want quickly. Good luck

its never to late. if your 13 you are almost in high school where competetive is the best thing for you to jump back into. because high school softball, Varsity is just like competetive. its a big difference but i only started fastpitch 4 years ago andi started competeive at 12. im a sochmore now but my freshman year i made Varsity.

as long as there is a 13s or 14s team in your area, you're still young and definitely can keep playing. if you were 17 or 18 that would be a little late.

No it is not too late you are still at a young age to play competitive. But if you want to go straight into competitive you WILL need to give it your ALL AND MORE. But... if I were you I would play one rec-ball season to get back in shape and then towards the end of the season start to try out for and competitive teams you think is best for your level of competition.
