BACKHANDPRING PHOBIA!!!

I JUST GOT BACK INTO THE GROOVE AND WAS DOING GREAT LAST PRACTICE MY OH SO LOVELY TEAMMATE DROPPED ME AND I ROLLED MY NECK AND IM FREAKED OUT TO DO IT AGAIN PLEASE HELP

    Theres nothing you really can do unless you have someone else spot you and get rid of the block i went threw the same thing its just a mind thing just do it really thats all you can do make sure you do it on the matt though and you can get it back! just might take a few times!

    i had the same trauma, except i hyperextended my arm and it can be scary..you should probly just really work on it on a cheese mat or on the trampoline or something. if you have done it before then you will be able to do it again you just have to be in the mind set that you can do it or else youll fall on your head again...(=

    You just have to trust that he's done it once, he won't do it again. Getting it on your own could always help. that way the only person you have to blame is yourself. I had the same problem, i broke my arm (doing a back walk over, pathetic, i know) and could bring myself to do it for over a year. It's not really something someone can help you get over, you just have to get your confidence back, and know that it won't happen again if you do it correctly.

    wow thats pretty bad.. but dont be afraid trust yourself and just do it. dont think about. think about what you have to do before you do it. then clear your mind and do it. i have a full on the spring floor (working on it on the turf at school) and i dont think about any of my tumbling anymore

    that stinks...but dont back out. the same thing happened to me. i was doing a back handspring and my partner dropped me. so just free your mind except for the picture of you nailing it!

    you just have to trust yourself. and practice practice practice but make sure you have a certified adult to help!
