I would suggest two organizations... first, the local YMCA probably has an excellent league... they are most everywhere I have lived. Second, check to see if there is a "select team" in your area... your son is a pretty big kid for his age, and he might find the tutoring that a privately funded team provides gives him more upside. Here in Dallas, there are many such teams, often coached by former pro players like Deion Sanders, George Adams, Greg Williams, and Jay Saldi. They don't cost much more, but the football is serious, and so is the training. The YMCA in our area is an outstanding program, and this will be my fourth year returning as a coach for the 6th grade division... best of luck... and hey - if you move to Dallas - we'd love to check out your son!
