Well, when you do jumps, have someone stand there and critic you. Then when you do a jump, focuss on those things you need to fix. DO NOT keep doing the same thing or it will be pointless. Also, my coach told us that you should do back to back jumps until you feel like your legs aren't going to come up any more. She says that when you get to that point, you activate the muscle memory and then your jumps get better plus you will get the issues you have solved.

To improve your jumps you need to get your ab muscles stronger because thats what you use to get your legs up. Oh and sorry I can help you wit the tumbling I'm sort of on the same boat wit you when it comes down to that. But hope my advice can help you wit your jumps.

I don't know what tumbling you already have, but if you start with being sure you can do a proper bridge back from a stand it will improve your shoulder flexibility and get your brain used to the backward motion. Having a bridge kick over or back walkover also helps prepare you. Though the handspring is not a slow arched move, the body needs to be prepared for the upper back stretch and the impact. Another important move is a handstand snapdown. If you are landing on your head it may mean you are not looking for your hands, you are not tight through the entire body and pushing the ground, you cannot bridge back, or you may be pulling your legs over as you jump instead of waiting until your hands contact the floor and then snapping down. Watch a lot of videos and imagine yourself doing each part of the skill. Find slow motion videos if you can. Good luck!
