well Bridget, you just need to do all the drills that the coach wants, if i was a
coach i would rather have someone that is kinda good and always wants to try harder then someone who is good but never shows up and is a bad example, so just show
that u can work harder then the other person and maybe u wont make it but it
gives u a better impression if u just stay cool with it u kno, i luv soccer and i
always practice my running, and 1 way to help is hav a frend stand about 10 feet
away from u and let your frend hold a tennis ball, then let yur frend drop the ball
and as soon as it hits the ground and bounces, then sprint as fast as u can to get
the ball before it hits the ground a 2nd time. do u understand?
for more tips on speed, soccer, jumping, or anything then just add me or message
me. Hope u make it Bridget. -
Be very aggressive, first to the ball, never give up and try your best. At this age coaches most of the time are looking for strong and fast athletes. A defensive advice; always close the gap fast (so if they have a drill 1v1 or playing a soccer game, and the other player has the ball first, gets to the ball first, run as fast as you can to the ball, stop just about three feet in front of the ball as a defender; stay in front of the player at all times!! If they move sideways with the ball move so you stay in front of the ball. NEVER reach from the side; if they get around you, just run fast to catch up and get in front of them; NEVER give up!!) At the same time always have fun, listen to the coaches, and don't be afraid to ask questions go out and do your best!!
Good luck! -
