We have the same problem with our daughter in softball. Coach asked us to get
her to pitching clinics. We did. She is not great yet but she is a lefty. The coach
loves her daughters more than the rest of the team.

As a mother of a leftie pitcher myself, you never understand what in the living daylights these coaches are doing sometimes. My son gets a good amount of play time..NOW. But last season was a different story, his coaches "friends" sons were rightys & not as goos as my son, but... sometimes friendship trumphs the better pitcher! Try & get your child on a travel team, there is usually no favoritism due to the fact that the coaches usually no none of the kids before tryouts. The kids & us tend to get a bit jaded when playing school ball with all of the "politics" that surround it, so we play travel in the summer & fall until b-ball season starts at school. It definately helps!
