Question
what is the distance between first and third bases
My 11 year old daughter plays third base in fastpitch softball and I would like for her to practice at home throwing the same distance to first base, however I don't know how far to have her throw.

It is about 85 feet from home to second. I think it would be the same from 3rd to 1st since it is a perfect square. I think the exact distance is 84'10 and 3/4 inches

i didn't look in a book but im guessing the same as home to second

Kathy is right the distance is 84.852 feet (A squared + B squared = C squared) with C = 3rd to 1st. Make sure she is throwing through the target and not just to it.
