The weekend is almost here and I'm sure many of you are gearing up for some fun events. We have some good news for those of you in charge of scheduling. We've made several changes and improvements to our scheduling features and design. This is the first of several updates (more coming next week).

- Whether it's photo day or time for a meeting group members with permissions can now schedule an event of any type. There is no need to pre-select what type of event you're scheduling, as there are obviously numerous types of events in youth sports.

- Team, Tourney and League group members with permission can schedule games in a more formal manner separately from general events.

- The schedule event and game forms have been modified to be easier to use. You can also inform your group members on how early to arrive before start time.

- Group members, you will now see a module on your dashboard and group home pages which will include up to 8 upcoming events for groups you belong to. If there is more than one event on the day of the 8th listed event, all events for that day will display on the module.

- When viewing all events, you have a better view of the details for events that have been scheduled. You will see a list of events (in chronological order), along with the date, time, the group the event is associated, the event name, location and notes (if a note was included).

- You can sort events by group and type as well as easily print the full schedule or individual event detail page.

Please note that maps and driving directions will be returning and game results (scores), calendar view and more features will be coming in the future.

New sports you can now add and update on groups and profiles:

- Handball

- Beach Volleyball

- Baton Twirling

- Powerlifting

- Billiards

- Fencing

- Sailing

- Disc Golf

- Arm Wrestling

Some of those sound like a lot of fun. Others painful. :)

Bug Fix:

- The ugly bug causing e-mail notifications to be sent to you twice has been squashed.
