SSL and a Bug

I'm back from my berserk adventure. :) I took off to the West Coast for a few days. I'm happy you all were able to meet Matt (thanks for keeping everyone updated!). He and other members of our staff will be popping up on The Huddle from time to time.

Today's update is about your privacy and security, which is VERY important to us. Aside from all the cool feature updates, we've been working on implementing SSL protocols for new user registration and account information pages. SSL is now live on the site.

I figured some of you might be wondering what in the world SSL means, so I prepared an answer for you. It's means Secure Sockets Layer, which is a common protocol for managing the security of data transmission on the Web. When registering, logging in or updating your account information, you can now rest assured that all you data is encrypted to help ensure no bots or hackers get to your private information. Chalk one up for the good guys!

An annoying bug we squashed today:

- You can now properly rate photos in Internet Explorer 7. Go on and place your grade on all that media!

More updates coming this week.
