We made several BIG updates to group privacy settings. This is all based on your great feedback. You asked for more flexibility on what NON group members can or can't see. We've been working hard to deliver a solution to you, which is now ready and easy to update at anytime.
If you're an organizer who created a private group prior to this update, please rest assured. You can choose what content (if any) to publicly display and anyone wishing to join your group must be approved. You're still in control.
Check out the details below on what you can do with your new features.
What's New?
Public Page - A group's public page is how people who aren't members of a group see a group. Group organizers choose what group content displays on this page. Only a group's name, sport/type, avatar and description will always publicly display. Anyone wishing to see more detail not listed on a public page will need to become a group member.
Select Public Page Modules - Group organizers have the option to show Roster & Members, Gallery, Schedule, and News. Display one, a few, all or none. Selections can be edited at anytime.
Items to note:

Group Membership Settings - We've simplified the settings due to the new public page feature. Organizers now only need to select from one of two settings, which can be changed at anytime:
Approval Only: Organizers must approve everybody who wishes to join the group.
Anyone: Anybody who wishes to join the group will automatically be added.

Organizer Tools - We've changed the layout of organizer tools on group profile pages. Under a group's avatar (logo), organizers will find five new buttons which can be used to access settings, invitations, group linking, the public page, and manage organizers.

Note: When editing a group, two tabs are provided at the top for quick toggling between general and public page settings.

Go set up your group just the way you want. And, as always, please let us know what you think. Enjoy the new features!

- Selected modules that do not have content will only display to group organizers or members that have the ability to add content.
- When the public page is updated, a notification listing enabled modules will automatically be sent to group members.
- Non members will need to become a group member to view and interact with any content listed on the public page.
